A Documentary by Jonathan Borofsky and Gary Glassman

PRISONERS is a 58 minute color documentary that explores the lives of 32 prisoners in San Quentin State Prison, California Institute for Women and California Rehabilitation Center. Based on 46 hours of taped interviews, the work attempts to understand how prisoners are both different from and similar to us, the "free" members of society.

Jonathan Borofsky and Gary Glassman will be present for an open discussion following each screening.
