Join Sculpture Milwaukee at the Women’s Club of Wisconsin for a panel discussion with former Sculpture Milwaukee curator Michelle Grabner and the Milwaukee Art Museum’s Senior Curator of Contemporary Art Margaret Andera.
This free public talk, moderated by Sculpture Milwaukee Executive Director John Riepenhoff, will illuminate the work and creative vision of Meg Webster, an artist closely affiliated with post-minimalism and the Land Art movement of the 1970s. Webster has long been guided by an environmentalist approach to celebrating and advocating for nature.
The talk will cover Webster’s unique contributions to American art and the special relationship she’s had with Milwaukee since 1990, when the Milwaukee Art Museum commissioned the first version of Glass Spiral.
